In Loving Memory of Sydney Smith 

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sydney Smith, our inspirational and much-loved founder.

 Almost thirty years ago, Sydney had the extraordinary vision to create a place where horses and people of all abilities could come together in the spirit of community and in outstanding facilities. 

Thanks to her generosity, dedication, and passion the Unicorn Centre has flourished into the thriving community it is today. 

Her legacy lives on in every rider, driver, vaulter, volunteer, horse, dog, cat, pony, chicken and sheep who are part of our family. 

While we mourn her loss, we are committed to honouring Sydney’s legacy and wishes by continuing the work she began. 

Her spirit will remain at the heart of the Unicorn Equestrian Centre, guiding our mission for generations to come. 

Details of a celebration of her life will be shared in the coming days.

In the meantime, we invite our community to join us in remembering and celebrating a truly remarkable lady.
